As in – amount of videos ‘patiently’ uploaded this month with all the frame skipping and nonsense. Ok, been playing more with music than the actual..whatever..’content’ thing or stuff needed for a game.
For some odd reason, I’ve discovered that randomly poking around a few programs can actually generate something that closely resembles..well, music. Pretty happy with it as its as random as it gets but quite fitting for what I had in mind and highly experimental at the same time. The only problem is to try not to actually learn any of these as it might start to sound too good, HaH.
The tools used – Ordrumbox, free, java based drum sequencer, very nice.
VST host, hell..freeware VST host and with a ton of instruments out there available for free, that’s where most of these sounds were made.
SunVox, love this one, there’s also mobile/palm/iphone version too, free for desktop (Mac/Linux/PC) though so it’s a must for me as all the moon songs were made with it, dreamy!
The rest is also free and the usual choice, Audacity to mix all these together and Sfxr to add some ‘bleepbeep..boorrrthetetetet’ sounds. I really don’t have a gram of patience when it comes to interfaces of pro tools with zillions of knobs and such nor clue, time or desire to figure that out (will leave that to pros) so these tools are cools and that’s a wrap.
Blastmevideos with actual music samples (gotta work on actual game stuff as this is really old now, someday!)
