Bunny 0H

Bunnybunnybunny..must be funny..nanana…(song). Aaanyway, here’s a little one switch/button game..with a bunny, who has lost the money (presumably) and have to collect them around 4 levels (seemingly anything more than 4 is not the ‘way of the infectuous’ :( ). It was originaly a level in Gambler but since the rest was never finished, I wanted to play it somewhere/somehow so this game is a result of that. As it goes, little bunny is constantly moving and space press makes him jump to the opposite wall while avoiding the usual gang of enemies (cats, pigs, badgers). It really is that simple so no point in dragging this any longer..to the screens ~

Aswoonansi…

I really couldn’t come up with a better title.
Ok, just finished this tonight ~ a collection of 30 tales/poems by E. A. Poe made somewhat as Ansi drawings with usual arrangements. Some images are rather long (beware if your internet connection sux), so I had to cut ansi files into 21 pieces and derive png’s from there.
You can see a final thing at the usual place.

In case it’s too slow for yer viewing or something, I’ve packed it all into one executable for
perhaps ~ an offline viewing.

Here’s about how that looks like ~

Horace in Geistburg

Serge in Gainsbourg is outski then.
Very happy that this one is finally done as it is as old as wine (old wine, that is) so I can finally put the little creature to rest.
So, in short – 30 quick play levels of jumparound+stars collect+escape the ghost and all that in a jiffy!
Have a chipper Ding-a-Derry platforming then. :D

Gremlins WWI aircraft destruction sim

Hello

Might be a bit in advance but this one is like a ‘Happy New Year’ game (postcard). While trying to find time to finish this little Horace and one more game, this little thing crept in and…boof..finished.
It is an actual scientific kinda simulator, based on the true story, movie (brad)coming soon(pitt) but in meantime you can play it, all you need is a mouse. Left click here and right click there to spawn gremlins, the terrors which pilots of both (or all six) WW have reported seeing during the battles in the sky.

A few screens then~

*And what this Ominous demo of yore

casbah crest…meant in croaking nevermore..but 3 maps? OK, I got these three levels from the game, disconnected somewhat from the rest but more as in general test of the game (bugs still might apply tho).
The whole town exploring and some implemented puzzle/quest/shootouts sections have been removed just to fit the smallest demo of a sort in here. Since the game is progressing really slow due to lack of time and it grows with every single idea added, this is something to try out so I don’t have to record videos and alike. The way the time slips is fantastic so I’m not so sure when will this be finished as it is quite a long game the way I’ve imagined it to be. So far I did enjoy working on it (music especially for some reason) and there’s a plenty of little spiffy stuff left to add which makes a grueling process of making a game..less terribleus gruelous something.
**Only that and…nothing more…for now.
***Enjoy.

That’s a record!

As in – amount of videos ‘patiently’ uploaded this month with all the frame skipping and nonsense. Ok, been playing more with music than the actual..whatever..’content’ thing or stuff needed for a game.

For some odd reason, I’ve discovered that randomly poking around a few programs can actually generate something that closely resembles..well, music. Pretty happy with it as its as random as it gets but quite fitting for what I had in mind and highly experimental at the same time. The only problem is to try not to actually learn any of these as it might start to sound too good, HaH. :)

The tools used – Ordrumbox, free, java based drum sequencer, very nice.

VST host, hell..freeware VST host and with a ton of instruments out there available for free, that’s where most of these sounds were made.

SunVox, love this one, there’s also mobile/palm/iphone version too, free for desktop (Mac/Linux/PC) though so it’s a must for me as all the moon songs were made with it, dreamy!

The rest is also free and the usual choice, Audacity to mix all these together and Sfxr to add some ‘bleepbeep..boorrrthetetetet’ sounds. I really don’t have a gram of patience when it comes to interfaces of pro tools with zillions of knobs and such nor clue, time or desire to figure that out (will leave that to pros) so these tools are cools and that’s a wrap.

Blastmevideos with actual music samples (gotta work on actual game stuff as this is really old now, someday!)

~Yippeyo0o0~

Making games can be fun too, as in..spend so much time trying to do something simple in a hardest way but then relax to yodel. Which, by the way, is connected somewhat to the story or a task needed for this particular location. Said too much so here’s relax video ~

Plungey

Ahoy, check Jungool V1.1 released with a new and improved price drop right here. Go check, alarm the jungle, ‘plunge’ ( :) )!

Now, Casbah. Currently on the 3rd iteration (and final hopefully) of the actual city, something inspired with a C64 Batman (Caped Crusader) game from like 1988 or so. That game had this really sweet comic book like frame transition between maps where the previous frames (locations) are burned in the background. How did they do it back in the day I have no clue but I took the opportunity to use it as previous 2 versions simply didn’t work.

The first version had a whole town layout and working elevators to go distances (it was quite a huge map), change of day/night, weather, birds during a day/bats during a night, lights on/off, all sorts of things like that. Not something I can’t live without though as it’s more important to make the map work without loosing frame rate or weird stuff happening to collisions.
Second version did fit kinda naturally with the game (it can be seen in the video) but I still wanted the city to show somewhat, no matter how limited it might be now (you can’t shoot no more on these maps, for example).

So, progress. Little by little, about maybe 2% of the game done so far but hey! it’s rolling.
